Mission Vineyard Ranch is a family-owned and operated event and retreat space in San Juan Bautista, California.

Located on a working ranch, surrounded by ancient oaks, and nestled in rolling hills, it offers a rare combination of intimacy and spaciousness.

We are located in San Benito County, in the California Central Coast region, just 40 minutes south of San Jose, 35 minutes east of the coastal towns of Santa Cruz, Monterey and Carmel-by-the-Sea, and on the doorstep of a historic Mission town, a wine trail, and an array of outdoor recreation areas.

  • I cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed having our wedding at Mission Vineyard Ranch. The rolling hills and oak trees make for a spectacular backdrop, and the gardens around the house are gorgeous - I loved the olive trees and roses! The house is a beautiful mid-century ranch style with lots of thoughtful details that adds to the romantic feeling. There was plenty of room for dancing and dining al fresco, and the amenities were just what we needed for our party. Totally private but very easy to get to in either direction from Highway 101 which was exactly what we wanted for our guests.

Locals and visitors alike raved about the coffee shops, restaurants, and antique stores they explored during wedding weekend. The private estate itself, tucked into rolling hills, is truly picturesque. Our guests enjoyed cocktail hour on the front patio surrounded by a fragrant garden and oak trees. Afterwards, we dined and danced around the pool in the backyard—under twinkly lights and the most incredible starry sky.

  • Mission Vineyard Ranch was an ideal venue for our destination wedding. My wife and I hosted 80 guests on a beautiful mid-October day. The wedding itself was against the backdrop of a serene valley, and drinks were available in the adjacent courtyard. Dinner and dancing were by the pool, again with a gorgeous scenic view of the surrounding countryside. There were excellent vendors for food, flowers, tables and chairs, and all of our entertaining needs. We even had a karaoke afterparty in nearby San Juan Bautista. Most of our guests stayed in San Juan and enjoyed strolling around the quaint town, home of the Mission featured in the classic movie, “Vertigo.” Others stayed in Monterey. We could not have had a more wonderful location for the most special day of our lives!
